Chef Hunter was born and raised in New Mexico and pulls from his upbringing of ‘homestyle cooking’ for his chef inspiration. Chef Hunter decided to pursue a career in culinary and moved to San Antonio after graduating high school. He graduated from The Art Institute of San Antonio (AISA), where he earned an associate’s degree in culinary arts. Chef Hunter’s commitment to excellence, tireless work ethic, and leadership have helped put Stixs & Stone of the culinary map.

Chef KB is a military brat with a worldwide palate. She attributes her cooking style to her Korean lineage and her time spent in Japan and England. Chef KB graduated from The Art Institute of San Antonio (AISA), where she earned an associate’s degree in culinary arts with honors. Chef KB’s culinary influence is seen throughout our menu and her dedication to the craft enhances our mission. Without Chef KB, Stixs & Stone would not be who we are today.

Michelle is the beam of light that services our guests, coordinates our events and directs our hospitality program. Her smile and personality are contagious, and we are lucky to have her lead our front of house team. When we state family affair, we truly mean it! Michelle is Chef Leo’s sister and Chef Hunter’s amazing wife; she has been the friendly face servicing our guests since our Catch The Wave pop-up days! Michelle is also the driving force behind our gluten free mission as she has celiac disease.

My parents have given me the strength and courage to pursue my dreams. You can catch my dad eating breakfast on Sunday’s during brunch and find my mom servicing your table with a smile. My mom is my superhero, her guidance and support are second to none and I am lucky to call her my mom.

My granny is my number one supporter, and she does not age! She is a timeless wonder that you will find knocking out dish when we are in a pinch or have a crazy rush. She is truly one of a kind and her love gives me hope and strength. I am lucky that she is my granny!
